So, you want to know who's teaching your child?
Hi! My Name is Erica Colicchio, and this is my fourth year teaching at Pleasantville Elementary! I was privileged enough to teach 2nd grade for 3 years prior to my current year in 3rd grade.I also hold the position as Pleasantville's Instructional Technology Coordinator This means I will assist Mrs. Alexander in maintaining the school website, and also educate other teachers in the building about digital teaching tools that can be used during instruction. My husband and I currently live in Middletown, DE with our newborn daughter, Hailey, and our lab Molly. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, listening to music, taking part in DIY projects, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
In our classroom, you will notice that we are fortunate enough to be a 1:1 device classroom. This means that each student is provided with a Chromebook to use throughout the school year. This technology was provided to us through application to one of our district grants. I am super excited to be able to take risks with your children, challenge them, and provide them with virtual experiences that they can apply to world around them. Having this technology also means more connections with parents, meaning YOU! Any videos, documents, or projects created online will be directly shared with you through your child's google accounts and/or our class website.
During this school year, know that my door is always open. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your child and/or anything that we are learning. Our interactions are vital to your child's success! I look forward to meeting each one of you and creating positive relationships!
